In this procedure nose is reshaped by increasing
or reducing size, removing hump, changing shape of tips or bridge,
narrowing span of nostrils, changing angles between nose and upper
lips and nose and forehead. This procedure may be combined with
septoplasty either for cosmetic reason or for functional reason
or for both.
DURATION
Normally it takes 1-3 hours to complete the procedure. This is done
both as inpatient as well as outpatients.
SIDE EFFECTS
Temporary swelling, bruising around eyes, nose and forehead. Some
bleeding and stiffness. Infection, bleeding, red spots may occur.
Incomplete improvements may require additional surgery.
RECOVERY
Back to work or college in 1-2 weeks. More strenuous activities
1-3 weeks. Final result after year. This is permanent.
